Frenetic Friday

I don’t have much today I basically want to point you to this informative video about the Covid-19 virus. And keep safe God reigns.

Frenetic Friday

Well it has been an interesting couple of weeks so let’s just get to it.

If you haven’t seen this take a minute and watch Taylor Lock imitate Trump attending one seminary class.

Trump attending one seminary class ~ Taylor Lock

So if you had $2,821,955.28 aka 2.5 million euros to combat the migrant rape crisis going on in your country what measures would you do? This is Finland’s answer:

This is my answer:

Ok it’s time once again to deny biology and science.

Now according to an article in bbc.com The high court ruled that people who had given birth regardless of their gender (Take your time read the sentence again if needed) are mothers. The transgender man in question wants to be, of course referred to as a father.

Of course the case is being appealed. If the appeal succeeds his (sic) son would become the first person born in England and Wales to not legally have a mother.

Like I said a denial of biology and science.

While we are on the subject let me point you to an article by Rosaria Butterfield over on TableTalk Magazine:

Intersectionality and the Church by Rosaria Butterfield

It is past time for a Robotic Over Lord update.

You’ll love this a growing vine like robot.

And of course someone decided to recreate the biggest snake that ever lived as a robot.

Stuff of nightmares.

Frenetic Friday

This is going to be a short and bittersweet one tonight.

Did I watch the latest Superbowl? No. Did I watch any of the halftime show? No. How about the various commercials? No. But if I did I would have watched this ad. But it wasn’t an option because they didn’t allow it to be played. But here it is:

So about two weeks ago I mentioned that the Church of England had come out with a document that stated the basic historical Christian doctrine regarding sex, and marriage. Well that didn’t last.

The Archbishop of York, John Sentamu (left) seen here with Archbishop Justin Welby. The two senior clergymen have issued an apology over a contentious statement on same sex partnerships.

The archbishops said in a statement on Thursday: “We as Archbishops, alongside the bishops of the Church of England, apologise and take responsibility for releasing a statement last week which we acknowledge has jeopardised trust.

“We are very sorry and recognise the division and hurt this has caused.”<source>

I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

Here is a little link to 50 years of failed eco-pocalyptic predictions.

Some of these I remember reading in various science magazines when I was in college.

This father is facing a possible fine and jail time for refusing to send his son to school because he doesn’t want his child taught that gay and transgender lifestyle is ok. <source>. The father, a Muslim, says that

We are not against anyone expressing their sexuality or being homosexual if that’s what they want.

‘We have no issue if Mr Moffat wants to put on a dress, or dance around like a ballet dancer, or put on a skirt, we have no issue. We have an issue with teaching that nonsense to our kids.

Don’t think it won’t come here. All you need to do is listen to the Democratic candidates for president to know that they will enact similar laws.

And that is it for Frenetic Friday. See you in church.

Frenetic Friday

From my sickbed I pen these few notes in my trembling hand…

Alphabet time once again!

Now this maybe hard to believe after all the drag queen story hour articles but here is a drag queen that says: Moms keep your kids away! (Warning coarse language)

Imagine that, nudity, drugs, sexual acts.  Why in the name of everything good and holy would you expose a child to this?  And yet there is this:

But now for something quite similar…

Do you know who Fallon Fox is?  He is a transgender MMA fighter who fights in the women’s division.  And has been named in an article in Outsports as the bravest athlete ever.  Now, if you’re unfamiliar with Fox he in his bouts fractured twice the skulls of his female opponents. In one bout he:

secured a grip on Newsome’s head… With her hands gripping the back of Newsome’s skull, she delivered a massive knee, bringing her leg up while pulling her opponent’s head down. The blow landed on Newsome’s chin and dropped her, unconscious, face-first on the mat.

That blow ended Newsome’s career in the sport. Also Newsome never knew that Fox was born a man and surgically altered to appear as a woman.

Tamikka Brents Fox’s other opponent, of whom Fox broke seven orbital bones and gave her a concussion said this:

I’ve fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night,” Brents said, recounting her experience fighting Fox. “I can’t answer whether it’s because she was born a man or not because I’m not a doctor. I can only say, I’ve never felt so overpowered ever in my life and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right… I still disagree with Fox fighting. Any other job or career I say have a go at it, but when it comes to a combat sport I think it just isn’t fair.

Joe Rogan said of Fallon Fox:

Fight guys, yes. She has to fight guys. First of all, she’s not really a she. She’s a transgender, post-op person. The operation doesn’t shave down your bone density. It doesn’t change. You look at a man’s hands and you look at a women’s hands and they’re built different. They’re just thicker, they’re stronger, your wrists are thicker, your elbows are thicker, your joints are thicker. Just the mechanical function of punching, a man can do it much harder than a woman can, period.

But according to Outsport’s Cyd Zeigler Fox deserves this title because of his bravery against all the hatred directed towards him.   Right.

There is no consensus among sporting organizations as to what gives a man enough of a disadvantage to compete against women. The International Olympic Committee says that a male needs to suppress testosterone to be at or below 10 nanomules per litre of blood for a period of one year prior to competition. Females who take testosterone would need years of hormones to get up to that.

Muscle mass does not substantially decrease with hormone treatment. Eradication of genitals does not diminish bone density. There are no cohesive Federal laws in the US to determine what makes a male eligible to compete against women, and while males have won women’s championships, female-bodied athletes have not risen to the upper levels of male competition. <article by The Postmillenial>

Fallon Fox himself said this:

My teammates had no idea I was trans. They recognized my endurance, my strength, my ability to cut weight in the same category as cisgender women. There was no idea in their minds that I didn’t belong. They weren’t thinking, ‘oh my God, she’s going to kill somebody.’”

And now the a statement by the Church of England:

According to the Guardian the Church of England has said that sex is reserved for only heterosexual married couples and that gay or straight civil unions should be abstinent.  This is made clear  by the Bishops in a pastoral guidance.

In the statement the Bishops say:

For Christians, marriage – that is, the lifelong union between a man and a woman, contracted with the making of vows – remains the proper context for sexual activity.”

The church “seeks to uphold that standard” in its approach to civil partnerships, and “to affirm the value of committed, sexually abstinent friendships” within such partnerships.

It adds: “Sexual relationships outside heterosexual marriage are regarded as falling short of God’s purpose for human beings.”

So the Bishops have come out, no pun intended, for traditional Christian marriage.

Of course this has raised the ire of the supporters of the Alphabet Collective which has said this:

The C of E is unable to get over its fixation on homosexuality, which is driving the the national church into a position more like a fundamentalist sect and does not speak to the vast majority of younger people today quoted by Linda Woodhead, professor in the department of politics, philosophy and religion at Lancaster University

Well I for one say Huzzah! Thank you Church of England for standing with traditional, biblical, Christian marriage.

Ok just a few more things. Yes that means once again that its time for something against feminism.

In this case I am going to link you to an article by Marlo Safi in The Spectator called:  All I dream of is becoming a tradwife.   Yes the article is humorous, and in case you’re wondering tradwife, you hipsters with your new fangled jive, is traditional wife.

Oops did I do that?  Well go read the article it is great and well worth your time.

Yes! Another Robotic Overlords report it is amazing!

Biological robots, are you scared?  Well I for one welcome our biological Robotic Overlords.

Lastly, and seriously, I am currently trying to ride out a bout of pneumonia which can be serious in person of my age.  I am desperately attempting to rest and stay out of the hospital.  Also my daughter is suffering from a virus infection so we are both running around with masks over our face so we don’t make each other worse.  I covet your prayers for my family’s health and recovery.  Thank you.

Frenetic Friday

From the lethargic mire a hand struggles, rises, grasps the (metaphorical) pen and begins to write.

Oh yeah I have a blog maybe I should write something seeing its a new year and all.

Speaking of New Year’s resolutions have you finally floundered and given up? I have made one resolution this year and that was not to make any resolutions. So far I have been able to keep this but we’ll if I can keep it.

If you are planning on reading the bible in a year Ligonier Ministries has a series of plans you maybe interested in you can find them here: Bible Reading for 2020.

Personally I have started the M’Cheyne audio bible podcast, ESV, as I find I easier to listen to the bible being read to me. I especially like this podcast as it is is just an articulate speaker reading the various verses. There is no commentary unlike some other bible reading podcasts.

But this is a Frenetic Friday so let’s get into it.

Yes here we are the first culture war post of the year. And I am about to make a suggestion, there is a term that has been used during oh at least the passed decade maybe more that I think needs to be retired. Post Christian culture. Let’s quit pretending that Christian culture is still the guiding force behind anything in the western world. We have slipped into pagan culture whether you call it secular, post modern, or whatever it no longer has any basis in Christianity and is actively opposed to it. The war has started and we are still trying to appease the enemy like Chamberlain did in England.

So on yesterday’s briefing (ht: Albert Mohler) a new app was discussed this app matches men and women who want to be parents. The article (click link) tells how some women who want children, but not marriage per se are looking for not just a sperm donor but someone who will also commit to being a father to the child. So all the benefits of marriage but none of the commitment. Or as they put in the article:

“that match would-be parents who want to share custody of a child without any romantic expectations. It’s a lot like a divorce, without the wedding or the arguments.”

So here we are marriage has become a non thing. And this is what I mean by by saying post christian should no longer be the designator of what the contemporary culture is, christianity defined what a family should be. That is no longer the case. Now the pagan culture defined what is family and it makes sure that it isn’t what is defined by scripture.

Well moving forward now that we are in the “twenties” I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at how our future over lords are progressing in their overthrow of humanity. And for that we turn to Japan. Here is the latest:

And with that dear readers I bid you good night. Thanks for sticking around with me.

Frenetic Good Friday

Well it has been awhile since I have done a Frenetic Friday post but let’s get to it.

In case you’re living under a rock or in denial this is what is referred to as Holy Week. And today is Good Friday, and more on that later. But I hope that you did notice that as is the norm the various “shows” on Christianity has appeared on various streaming services. The newest one that I noticed is Jesus: Countdown to Calvary made in 2018 and starring Hugh Bonneville. This is playing on Netflixs. And yes I watched and as expected the idea that Jesus was the divine Son of God or the fulfillment of prophecy was completely played down or not mentioned at all. What I did notice was how it was claimed that Jesus came proclaiming a message of, wait for it, “social justice”. I am not really surprised at this an neither should you be if you’ve been keeping up with any of the “social justice” debates that have been going on in Twitter and elsewhere. Just be aware that this and other messages of the same sort will be playing this time especially since Easter or the Sunday celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus however you wish to refer to it draws near.

And speaking of heretical things have you heard about PreachersNSneakers? It is an Instagram account that has pictures of various “hipster” preachers and the expensive sneakers they are wearing. I am not talking about some $150 dollar Nikes here. No, how about $3000 for an off white pair of Jordan 1 from Europe. Or $1100 “Gucci” slippers?

I don’t mind a pastor being well dressed but I have to call into question exactly why do they need that expensive foot wear. What do you think where should this money have gone to?

And keeping with the Good Friday theme, as well as heretical notions a female Roman Catholic theologian has written a book called “Creation and the Cross: The Mercy of God for a Planet in Peril” In it Elizabeth Johnson maintains that Anselm‘s satisfaction theory of atonement was completely wrong. Johnson maintains that Anselm based it upon “the political system of the day” and that God’s mercy doesn’t call for a bloody and violent death for our sins. Basically atonement needs to be removed from what Christ did. <source>

Rather than have me bumble through why the atonement is necessary I shall point you to these resources:

And here is a list of resources from Monergism: Penal Substitutionary Atonement

And a list of resources from The Highway: TThe Atonement of Christ

Finally something from Toplady:

Goodnight.

Frenetic Friday

Since my insomnia is going full bore and I am occupied with the coming season this will probably be finished by Saturday morning instead of Friday night. But be that as it may I have a selection of articles for your perusal.

From the Daily Mail (Nov. 24, 2018) comes a new scientific research that suggests after a huge catastrophe,

that we sprang from a single pair of adults after a catastrophic event almost wiped out the human race.

These bar codes, or snippets of DNA that reside outside the nuclei of living cells, suggest that it’s not just people who could have come from a single pair of beings, but nine out of every 10 animal species, too

Just a single pair of adults after a great catastrophe I’ll just leave this here.

And while we are talking about ancient history this just in from Israel they have found Pontius Pilate’s ring.

The ring itself was found fifty years ago but with expert cleaning and microscopic examination the archeologist determined that “of Pilate” was inscribed on the ring in greek.

Let’s turn from history to present day.

This is John Allen Chau the young missionary that was killed on the North Sentinel Island. Now recently there has been a rash of articles both praising and damning this young man for his actions. But I think that Tim Challes has written a well crafted article that is worth reading about this missionary and what we should think about what he had done. Go here: On the death of John Allen Chau by Tim Challes

Yes it is time once again to go down into the trenches and prepare for another skirmish in the culture wars.

Our first report comes from Florida in particular the Chasco Middle School where a transgender “boy” is in the habit of walking into the boys locker room literally as their pants are down with no warning. The school officials instructed a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed female in the locker room. Using common sense he refused to put himself in a position to “observe a nude or potentially undressed minor female”.

I would like to point out that a few years ago that if a “school official” had suggested that a male teacher must observe a nude minor the parents of the school district would have run him out of town on a rail. However in this case and the times being what they are the teacher was disciplined and sent to another school ” for not doing his job in the locker room”. The teacher has appealed his discipline and sought council. But keep in mind that with the “alphabet soup” activists that are driving the changes and controlling the NEA this sort of idiocy will become common place. < Source>

Yes that flag is flying once again but in an unexpected place. What place is that? Why the Evangelical Theological Society that is where! In an article at CBMW Colin Smothers critiques a paper entitled “Walking across Gender in the Spirit? The Vocation of the Church and the Transgendered Christian“. Now in full disclosure the author of the paper, Dr. Andy Draycott has publicly retracted the paper and has offered a public statement where he unequivocally affirms that God has created humans as male ad female.

Of course the question must be asked why would a society dedicated to Evangelical Theology even allow such a presentation?  And yet it appeared there.    Well I think that Colin  Smothers answers that question in his critique which you can read here

And this last bit of news I am unsure whether to put it under Robotic Over Lords or Culture Wars but since it is technology based and not real robotics lets keep it under culture.

No this isn’t a japanese version of “Tiny Dancer” this is a hologram of Hatsune Miku a virtual teenage girl who was “married”, yes I said  “married” to Akihiko Kondo, a 35-year-old middle school teacher in Tokyo.  Gatebox the company who provides the device also provided this demo video.

Now Gatebox issued a marriage license but it isn’t legal as Akihiko found out but he still went through with the ceremony which cost about $18,000  and was attended by his disproving family about forty guests in all.  I suppose he promised to love honor and keep her power supply charged.

Technology, we can make the girl of your dreams either virtually or in warm silicon.

Well that is it for Frenetic Friday good night.

Frenetic Friday

Once again we delve into the unique, the strange, the Frenetic Friday.

Yes we are starting out with two Robotic Over Lords articles tonight.

One is from a few weeks ago:

Does the thought of warm silicone raise your temperature? How about the hum of microprocessors and servos? If this floats your boat and you live in Houston then welcome to the robot brothel!

Yes an entrepreneur from Toronto Canada, who set up a similar brothel where you can rent a sexbot for an hour at a time with a private room doing whatever perverse desire you want. And then return the sexbot for a good cleaning. Wants to do the same thing in Houston. This of course has caused a bit of a row from the more conservative groups but sexbot aren’t considered illegal as technically the sexbot is classified as a “sex toy”. {Source}

Next we travel to distant China where a special recruitment is going on.

The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) group of teenagers included 27 boys and four girls chosen to train as the world’s youngest AI weapons scientists, according to the BIT website.

Those selected for the “experimental program for intelligent weapons systems” were all under the age of 18 and carefully chosen from a list of 5,000 candidates, the BIT website said.

One BIT professor who was involved in the screening process told the South China Morning Post that candidates needed to be more than just a bright student.

“We are looking for other qualities such as creative thinking, willingness to fight, a persistence when facing challenges,” the BIT professor told the Post, preferring to remain anonymous. {Source}

And now for the weird.

What you are looking at is a pair of boots made to look like ‘human skin’ they cost $10,000 and made by a pair of designers called, and I am not kidding, Fecal Matter, give me a pair of Doc Martens any day. {Source}

Pro-life

And in a win for pro-life Alabama has approved an amendment that declares that an unborn baby has the “right to life”. {Source}

And now for something else.

It seems that besides gender, species, and race there is a new fluidity in the mix: age.

A Dutch, positivity trainer says that he wants to change his birthdate from March 11, 1949 to March 11, 1969. He says that if gender is fluid than age must be also. Because he doesn’t ‘feel’ 69 he ‘feels’ 49 an so he wants his age to be 49. As he points out at 49 he can get a new house, buy a new car, take up a new job. However, he is getting some push back from the judges who doesn’t see a legal precedent for changing one’s birthdate.

{Source}

And last something brilliant from Lutheran Satire:

Root Canal Friday

Actually the root canal was Thursday, late in the afternoon I basically went to bed.

However, my jaw is still throbbing and I can barely type this out. Frenetic Friday next week God willing.
