Q. How did God make man in the day of his first creation?

A. God made man upright (Eccl7:29). ‘In the image of God created he him’ (Gen 1:27).

Q. Did God, when he made man, leave him without a rule to walk by?

A. No: he gave him a law in his nature, and imposed upon him a
positive precept, but he offered violence to them, and broke them both (Gen 3:3,6).

Robert Gagnon and the Revoice Conference

Doug Wilson kindly posted this by Robert Gagnon regarding the Revoice Conference. This is a fair and balanced read and frankly more people should read it so with that in mind…

While I am glad for the fact that persons at the upcoming Revoice Conference (July 26-28, St. Louis, in a PCA venue) and those who align with the “Spiritual Friendship” program want to refrain from engaging in same-sex intercourse and thereby uphold this part of the orthodox witness, I have seven consequential concerns about their views.
1. Inadequate engagement with the need for “renewal of the mind” as regards homosexual desires. Is there any asking of: “What is the false narrative that gives these impulses particular strength? Why am I viewing a person of the same sex as a sexual complement or counterpart to my own sex? Why am I aroused by the distinctive sexual features of my own sex, by what I already have? Am I thinking of myself as only half of my own sex? What kind of strategies for renewing my mind can I use to counter this false narrative beyond ‘washed and waiting’?” Instead, the benefits of a generalized “gay” perspective (minus the sex) are celebrated or lifted up. Even if one’s attractions may not change with such an evaluation, they can be disempowered by exposing the lie that lies behind attempts to gratify same-sex desire or (for “transgenders,” so-called) to deny one’s biological sex altogether. There is more to be addressed here than refraining from homosexual sex.

Frenetic Friday a video

This is going to be short and sweet. First look at this:

Consider this, what is the ultimate source of issues in the church? Is it not ignorance of the scripture? If you are on social media you have seen exactly what has been shown in this video.

What is worse is when, and I speak from personal experience here, you confront the offender and get mobbed by the “social media christians” for being “unloving”, or and this is my favourite one ” too serious” about the posts. As if saying heretical statements about God or the Bible isn’t a serious matter.
The point is as the bible says:

my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6

Our lack of bible knowledge is killing the church.

Q. Is not the soul then of the nature of the Godhead?

A. No, for God cannot sin, but the soul does: God cannot be destroyed in hell, but the souls of the impenitent shall (Eze 18:4; Matt
10:28).
