Frenetic Friday

The plane boss, the plane!   Smiles everyone!  Welcome to Frenetic Friday!

Politics

This has been making the rounds so I thought I would show it here also.

Socialism:
Noun.

Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

For a real world example of this see Venezuela under Hugo Chavez.

Moving from politics to alphabet soup have you heard about the LGBQT(add what ever letters are appropriate) activist millionaire that wants to punish Christians?  Tim Gill said in a recent interview in Rolling Stone magazine that his foundation, The Gill Foundation, is targeting every state that has a religious freedom act, and right now he is hitting every southern state possible.  Or as it states in the article “We’re going into the hardest states in the country,  he (Tim Gill)  says.  We are going to punish the wicked.”  That is how he views us the wicked.  So if you want to know where the money comes to persecute the bakers, florists,  the regular Christian people trying to live their faith it is from millionaires like Tim Gill.

Culture of Death Alert.

So after Planned Parenthood was found to be selling baby parts you’d think that they couldn’t get lower.  But no they picked up a shovel and started digging.   In a recent artivle in the Federalist Jim Silberman writes how PP helped underaged sex traffickers get abortions for girls fourteen and fifteen years old as well as girls being smuggled across the state or from another country.  No thought about the illegality of the act, nor for the welfare of the young girls.  No it’s all about killing babies and getting the money.  Check out the link.  Planned Parenthood safe judgement free place for underage sex traffikers

Technology News

Yes it has been awhile since I had a Robotic Overlord update.  And frankly there hasn’t been many new advances into our demise but there has been some cute ones.   For instance meet Pillo.

Yes the latest thing in healthcare isn’t insurance rather it is a robot that will dispense and order your medications for you.  And give you information regarding calories in food, alert providers if you have missed taking medication and contact your doctor.  But here is the paranoid in me with everything being connected via the networks what happens if Pillo decides that kahula cream pie in the refrigerator isn’t healthy for you?  What if Pillo tells the refrigerator not to open.  What if Pillo calls the food police and they remove the pie and give you carrot sticks?  Don’t think it wouldn’t happen.

Have you ever made the “call me” hand sign?  Well with SGNL you can use your hand as a receiver take a look:

Well that’s it good night from Frenetic Friday.

Wednesday!

What do you mean it is Wednesday?  Well unfortunately I have had my eye on the ball nose to the grindstone and my ear to the ground.  Which hasn’t really given me a chance to listen to anything other than podcasts.  So no Earworm Wednesday today.  But stay tuned who knows when a song will ricochet off the inside of my head and come out here.

Just a quick update

So our cable provider decided to have a free preview of some movie channels I don’t get, because I am cheap, but that’s not important right now.

So I power watched some movies the list of which I am going to be reviewing soon.  They are: The Martian, The Accountant, Storks, and Dragon Sword.  Pretty much in that order.

If I think of any other movies I will add to the list.

Catechism

How can we be saved?

Only by faith in Jesus Christ and in his substitutionary atoning death on the cross; so even though we are guilty of having disobeyed God and are still inclined to all evil, nevertheless, God, without any merit of our own but only by pure grace, imputes to us the perfect righteousness of Christ when we repent and believe in him.

    Ephesians 2:8–9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

    Frenetic Friday

Here it is again Friday are you feeling frenetic? I myself am feeling that way and so let’s get started.

Well the Church of England is slowly but surely slipping loose from whatever moorings it had that attached it to scripture. The Church of England has announced that it will create special liturgical services for transgendered people. Now please let us take a moment and think what this means, they are creating a special worship service for people who think they are a different gender than what is their biological sex. A worship service. Let me say that again, a worship service. A worship service to welcome their transition. Now of course this wasn’t a unanimous vote there were those that opposed this but they were overwhelmed by those that have gone with the world. Read the full story here

And sticking to this subject seems that according to Zinnia Jones a “trans activist” and a “transgendered woman” straight men need to start dating “trans women” and if they don’t want to date “trans women” they should “try to work through that”. But what if straight men have no desire whatever to date these “trans women” well that is “misplaced and inappropriate” See the tweets here.

So it seems that Teen Vogue, remember this is a magazine targeted at teenagers, has written an article on how to do a specific sex act. Let me repeat what I wrote a few words ago, this is a magazine targeted at teenagers.

In the article the magazine used the terms “prostrate owner” and “non prostrate owner”. Well when YouTuber Laci Green used the terms “male” and “female” the Social Justice Warriors went ballistic. Seems terms like male and female, basic biological terms, are hate speech to the “trans activists”.  Story here.

By the way the Federalist has an excellent article entitled: Why you should intervene if your daughter reads raunchy teen magazines.  I suggest you read this if you have teenage girls.

And that is it for this Friday night.  Have a good weekend, go to church.

    Movie Review: Spider-Man Homecoming

    Producer: Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal
Writers: Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley
    Director: Jon Watts
Cast:Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr.

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing

So I have seen three different actors portraying Spider-Man and up to this point I have been a Tobey Maguire fan.  I am no longer just a Tobey Maguire fan.  Tom Holland is excellent as Peter Parker a fifteen year old highschool kid who is crushing on the most popular girl in school and just happens to walk on walls.

But as good as Tom Holland is as Spider-Man Michael Keaton as the Vulture is perfect.  Keaton pulls off scarey in a very understated way and the reason why Keaton has entered the life of crime is well written.

Tom Holland portrays Peter Parker as a kid who was asked to help the Avengers and then was told don’t call us kid we’ll call you.  Only they never call him indeed his contact with the Avengers is  Happy Hogan, played by Jon Favreau, who  is irritated with Peter every time he calls and mostly just refuses to call back or hangs up on him.  This treatment causes Peter to look for high profile crimes so that he can prove he is worthy to be an Avenger.  This puts him in conflict with the Vulture, and despite being warned by Iron Man to let the Avengers handle it he keeps at it until unforseen consequences occur.

Stuff I liked:  I liked the DIY nature of Peter’s home made costume.  That was one thing I found that stretched the limits of my imagination was that a teenager was an accomplished tailor in his part time.  Holland’s costume reflects more like what a fifteen year old could do with his limited access to money and supplies.

Stuff that made me say hmm:  Marissa Tomei as Aunt May.  I understand that she is no longer a young actress and is in her fifties but there is something a bit disturbing when you see Tony Stark hitting on her.  As well as most of the men in the neighborhood.  Maybe it’s me but I prefer my Aunt May to be a gray haired saintly lady not a object of sexual desire.

Parental warning, there is profanity in this film as well as a young woman using a ride hand gesture.  Fantasy violence as well as regular violence.  When I was in the movie I heard a little child ask their parent about the language and I could almost sense their frustration.  So be aware.

Over all Spider-Man Homecoming is a good film, it is good to see Spider-Man finally being back in the MCU production instead of being owned by another company.  I give this movie four out of five stars.
