Frenetic Friday

As you peer through the Stygian darkness a light appears in the distance you walk to realizing that you’ve entered the Frenetic Friday zone.

Well it’s been an interesting week case in point World Vision’s 48 hour walk into insanity which started here when it announced that the US board of the organization announced that it would employ homosexuals who had a legal same-sex marriage.  Well the uproar started almost immediately as Evangelical commentators and pastors from across the country pointing out that World Vision a Christian organization had violated biblical standards regarding marriage.  Well thankfully World Vision came to it’s senses and reversed it’s decision.  It said:

In our board’s effort to unite around the church’s shared mission to serve the poor in the name of Christ, we failed to be consistent with World Vision U.S.’s commitment to the traditional understanding of Biblical marriage and our own Statement of Faith, which says, “We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.” And we also failed to seek enough counsel from our own Christian partners. As a result, we made a change to our conduct policy that was not consistent with our Statement of Faith and our commitment to the sanctity of marriage.

We are brokenhearted over the pain and confusion we have caused many of our friends, who saw this decision as a reversal of our strong commitment to Biblical authority. We ask that you understand that this was never the board’s intent. We are asking for your continued support. We commit to you that we will continue to listen to the wise counsel of Christian brothers and sisters, and we will reach out to key partners in the weeks ahead.

While World Vision U.S. stands firmly on the biblical view of marriage, we strongly affirm that all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, are created by God and are to be loved and treated with dignity and respect.


Of course by doing this the liberals and the homosexual activists are screaming foul which just proves that it is easier never to give up the ground then try to retake it.  Here’s hoping that World Vision stays the course.

You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every abominable thing that theLord hates they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods. Deut.12:31

That verse comes to mind when information came from the Telegraph that hospitals in the United Kingdom used the bodies of aborted children in waste to energy plants to heat the hospitals.  The remains of over 15,000 children were found to be used in various hospitals as a source of fuel while telling the mothers that the body had been “cremated”.  The Department of Health in the UK immediately issued a ban on the practice calling it “totally unacceptable”.   I must of course point out that what is now considered unacceptable may in the future be considered the norm.  Even Israel when warned or the consequences of burning their children falling into apostasy did burn their children to Molech.  (2 Kings 16:3) and while the Department of Health may condemn this now that can change.  Pray that the people of the UK hear the gospel once again and return to Christ.

This week also Hobby Lobby’s case went before the Supreme Court.  Most people try to portray this as denying birth control but in reality it is about freedom of religion.  If this brief fails then what ultimately happens is that the moral underpinnings will be taken away from people and our religious freedom will be relegated to what happens in places of worship rather than what happens in the public arena.  And that should scare everyone.

Now under Robotic Over Lords there is news of a drone that can steal the information off your phone.  Hackers have created a drone called Snoopy that when the phone connects to the Internet the drone will pretend to be the network the phone is logging into and then take all the data on the phone.  So watch the skies when you connect to that free wifi you maybe sharing more than you know.
