Q. 8. What is God?
A. God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth.
John 4:24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Psalm 147:5  Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
Psalm 90:2  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
James 1:17   Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Revelation 4:8  And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,
“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
     who was and is and is to come!”
Psalm 89:14  Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Exodus 34:6-7 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
1 Timothy 1:17  To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
